What we believe

Every human is inherently good. The events that transpire in our lives affect our worldview and approach towards the issues happening in the world around us. For decades, the power to drive social change and the recognition for doing so has been reserved for the elite few, thereby creating a system of imbalance when making decisions that affect humanity. We are leveling the playing field by creating a social networking platform where positive people (from all walks of life) can come together to learn about the issues that affect humanity and discover opportunities to take action. Users will be able to encourage positive actions through peer-to-peer digital rewards.

Thank you for using Youmanitarian. It is our goal to create a kinder and more sustainable world. With the power of social media networking, we can start by treating everyone on our platform with respect and creating a safe community for all.

At Youmanitarian, we are a human company first and a technology company second. We have an obligation to contribute to human progress by empowering people to promote kindness towards humans, animals, and the environment. We created these Community Guidelines to support our mission of maintaining a platform where people are free to share encouraging content.

 

These Guidelines apply to all content on Youmanitarian, including all content shared by partners connected to our platform. We are not perfect and cannot guarantee that people will behave appropriately 100% of the time on our social network platform. We promise you that our mission to build a better world is most important. With your help, we will work hard every day to keep wrongdoers off our site.

BE KIND TO OTHERS

Registration Age

  • Minors under the age of 13 years are not allowed to create account on Youmanitarian.
  • Minors under the age of 13 years are not allowed to read content on Youmanitarian without parent or guardian supervision over the age of 18 years old.
  • Although we often reference Gen Z and Millennials on our website, our site is open to everyone aged 14 years and up.

 

Harassment & Bullying

  • We have ZERO (as in not allowed EVER) tolerance of harassment and bullying of any kind on our platform. This includes intentional aggressive behavior, abusive and offensive language, spreading rumors and posting harmful pictures, messages, or information on our social media platform. This also includes revealing other people’s personal or sensitive information (aka “doxing”) or inciting or engaging others to do so. Your first attempt to harass or bully another user on our platform will result in account suspension or termination without warning. We will also put your name in our community offender’s database for other users to see and avoid you at all costs.
  • Do not use Youmanitarian to pursue romantic connections, ask for romantic dates or provide sexual commentary on someone’s appearance. Do not engage in any unwelcomed sexual advances. This is not a dating application. We do not allow unwanted expressions of attraction or desire, sexual advances or innuendos, requests for romantic relationships, marriage proposals or any lewd remarks.
  • Do not engage in unwanted solicitations or requests for donations such as supporting a cause, joining a uCharity, requests for encouragement, chat messaging, purchasing of an item or endorsing a brand if you did not initiate the contact first or rejected previous communication advances.

Judgment

  • Do not judge, create, or make snide remarks of any kind when someone shares an Act of Kindness story.
  • Do not judge or criticize someone for supporting (or not supporting) any cause, brand, person, or organization on Youmanitarian.
  • Do not judge or criticize individuals or organizations, publicly or privately, on the use of the funds they receive from Youmanitarian fundraiser donations.
  • Do not judge or criticize any cause, organization, or affiliation on Youmanitarian that you do not believe in.
  • Do not judge or criticize people on Youmanitarian based on their merits received (or not received) such as the number of karma points, encouragers, encouraging, donations, badges, endorsement, awards, etc.
  • Do not judge or criticize an artist on Youmanitarian for their choice of expression.
  • Do not judge or criticize users on Youmanitarian based on their race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), age, marital and parental status, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, political party, or religion.

False Information

  • Do not post or share any false or malicious information on a person or organization that causes harm, confusion, or defamation of character.
  • Do not use Youmanitarian to raise funds that will not go towards the cause or purpose that you described in your fundraiser.
  • Do not use Youmanitarian to create a challenge to bring awareness to a non-existing issue just to gain publicity for your brand.

 

Hate Speech

  • Do not engage in any hateful actions including, but not limited to, posting any content that demeans, defames, promotes discrimination or violence based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), age, marital and parental status, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, political party, veteran status, or religion.
  • We do not allow content that attacks, denigrates, intimidates, dehumanizes, incites, or threatens hatred, violence, prejudicial or discriminatory action against individuals or groups because of their actual or perceived race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or disability status.
  • Hate groups are not permitted on Youmanitarian. Do not use any racial, religious, gang or ethnic epithets, slang, slur words, or any other content that incites or promotes hatred or creates division.
  • Do not use Youmanitarian to design or print any words or visuals that demeans, defames, or promotes discrimination or violence including, but not limited to, race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), age, marital and parental status, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, or veteran status.

Idea of Doing a Good Deed

  • Do not promote or engage in any act of violence toward any person, group, animal, or the environment as your perception of doing good to support your cause on Youmanitarian.
  • We will decide what causes are allowed on Youmanitarian and will report any individuals, groups, or organizations that we suspect may be involved or previously involved in any act of violence related to their cause to the law enforcement without any prior notice.

Sexually Explicit Content

  • Sexually explicit material including, but not limited to, statements, comments, questions, pictures, images, objects, jokes, anecdotes, messages, and cartoons is not allowed on Youmanitarian.
  • We will ban accounts that post or promote pornographic and sexually explicit content.
  • Do not post, save, or send nude or sexually explicit content of yourself, another adult or anyone under the age of 18 years. Never ask a minor to chat or send explicit imagery. We report child sexual exploitation to authorities without prior notice and will add you in our community offender’s database for people to avoid you at all costs.
  • Content and material of a news or information type and publications concerning research and awareness including, but not limited to, bringing awareness to a cause that combats sexual exploitation, educational materials on breastfeeding or artwork depicting nudity in a non-sexual context are allowed on Youmanitarian.

 

Threats, Violence & Harm

  • Do not threaten to harm any person, group, organization, property, animal, or the environment.
  • Do not post content that displays any type of violence towards animals, human beings, or the environment.
  • Do not perform, promote, or post any acts of self-harm including, but not limited to, self-injury, eating disorders or pressure for perfection.
  • Do not promote brands or organizations that harm people, animals, the environment, or support child labor on Youmanitarian.
  • We will ban accounts that post or promote acts of violence and threatening behavior. Content and material of a news or information type and publications concerning research and awareness are allowed on Youmanitarian.

Terrorism

  • We do not allow any terrorist or violent extremist groups or organizations on our platform.
  • Content that depicts terrorist activity, that is intended to recruit for terrorist organizations, or threatens, promotes, or supports terrorism in any manner is not tolerated.
  • Accounts affiliated with groups or organizations promoting terrorist activities will be banned.

Politics

  • Do not post political content on Youmanitarian that sparks or sustains division.
  • Do not use Youmanitarian to raise funds to support a political party or campaign.
  • Do not use Youmanitarian to promote ideologies that supports or degrades any political party.
  • Do not use Youmanitarian to recruit voters or volunteers to support any political party or candidate.
  • Do not use Youmanitarian to organize political events, voting polls or to promote any political party or candidate. Prohibited promotions may be in the form of cover photos, text, links, photos, videos, and audio.
  • We will ban accounts used to organize political events and campaigns.

 

Religion

  • Religious organizations are allowed to organize non-violent challenges, events, uCharities, movements or fundraisers on Youmanitarian
  • Do not post or share any content that demeans, defames, or promotes discrimination or violence based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), age, marital and parental status, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, or veteran status. We will ban accounts in violation of these terms.

 

Illegal Content

  • Do not use Youmanitarian to buy or sell any illegal drugs, contraband, counterfeit goods, or illegal weapons.

 

Impersonation & Spam

  • Do not pretend to be someone you are not or attempt to deceive people about who you are. This includes, but is not limited to, lying about, or disguising yourself as being another person or false affiliation with a celebrity, influencer, brand, or organization.
  • Do not spam people with solicitation messages for funds or for any reason on Youmanitarian.
